Hope37 Youth Trust - Home
Many young people hang about in Holywell town centre and around the local council estates. This detached youth work project has been running since November 2006 and is aimed at reaching out to these young people by meeting them where they are through the use of conversation.  By being out on the streets with the young people we can build helpful relationships, offer support and advice, challenge behavior and attitudes, provide a positive role model and share our faith. We tackle issues such as alcohol, drugs, vandalism, bullying, relationships, boredom and of course, spirituality.

This project has seen us taking out biscuits, hot chocolate and soup out to the young people who are hanging around, or simply playing games such as ‘Blocky’ or ‘Manhunt’ with them - whatever the young people want, we aim to meet their needs, after all, we are on their territory not the other way around!

The long-term aim of our StreetWork project is to encourage them off the streets and into positive activities - through conversations with them we hope that many will attend our small group sessions and hopefully make wiser lifestyle choices . Many young people we have met on the streets regularly come to the HopeCafe drop-in sessions when they are on, some have gone on to volunteer with the projects and one now works part time for us.
